Perfectly equipped for almost any power, voltage, capacitance and continuity measurements
With the BE52, DC and AC voltage measurements, direct current and alternating current measurements, capacitance measurements, frequency/duty cycle measurements resistance measurements, diode tests as well as acoustic continuity tests can be carried out.
Particularly durable and powerful true RMS multimeter
The measured values are shown in a clearly legible fashion on the large LC display with optional background illumination. Thanks to the practical hold function, the measured values remain readable even after you have completed the measurement process. When you carry out a continuity test, an acoustic signal indicates a short circuit or a closed circuit and therefore speeds up your work progress, since you do not have to keep your eyes on the display during the measurement. A fold-out foot that is integrated on the rear of the device allows you to keep both hands free for performing your measurement tasks. In this way, the measuring device can be put down onto an even surface in a position that makes it easy for you to read off the measurement results. The automatic switch-off mechanism of the device (auto power off) which responds after the device has been inactive for 15 minutes preserves the battery and is a practical feature.
Evaluation and documentation including MultiMeasure Mobile app
As a true RMS digital multimeter of the latest generation, the BE52 is 100 per cent "MultiMeasure Mobile ready" and thus prepared for all requirements of professional measurement data evaluation and documentation. Via the integrated Bluetooth® interface, the recorded measurement data is easily and conveniently transferred to a smartphone or tablet, where it can be professionally evaluated or recorded with the free MultiMeasure Mobile app.
The advantageous combination of the BE52 and professional MultiMeasure Mobile evaluation software allows you to make quick and reliable statements about electricity measurements at all times – including a wide range of analysis options such as the logging function for long-term measurements, graphic evaluations, the report function and data synchronisation with our professional cloud-based software MultiMeasure.
Equipment, scope of delivery and technical specifications
To ensure safe working within building installations (stationary loads with non-pluggable connection, distributor connections, integral units in the distributor), the digital multimeter BE52 complies with measuring category CAT III 600 V. In addition to the especially durable impact-proof plastic housing, the IP40 dust-protected BE52 impresses with its double insulation of measuring device and measuring lines in compliance with insulation protection class II. Ideal conditions to carry out measurements safely and reliably even in rough environments.

Difference between common measuring devices and measuring devices with the true RMS function
In the measurement process, a digital measuring device without true RMS function assumes that the AC signal is sinusoidal and therefore converts the raw signal measured to be displayed on the basis of this assumption. However, in fact, the electrical current flow is never purely sinusoidal. Consumers like switch-mode power supplies, speed or power controllers, etc. cause faults which in turn produce distorted current profiles. Since these profiles are no longer purely sinusoidal, they cannot be measured correctly without true RMS functionality.
True RMS measuring devices can also measure non-sinusoidal signal characteristics correctly and therefore are able to directly determine the true r.m.s. value of any alternating quantity. In this respect, the true root mean square stands for the correct determination and output of the true r.m.s. value.
MultiMeasure Mobile app – smart measuring data acquisition and evaluation of measuring data
With the free MultiMeasure Mobile app the captured measurement data becomes even more transparent. Just like the analysis software MultiMeasure Studio Professional 2.0 developed by Trotec for administration, analysis and report generation of measurement data on your PC, the free MultiMeasure Mobile app for Android and iOS devices also allows for professional measurement data management with a multitude of useful functions. The hand-held measuring device BE52 and numerous other measuring devices with Bluetooth® interface are automatically identified by the app and can be connected to the mobile terminal device quickly, easily and wirelessly.
The functionality of the MultiMeasure Mobile app is way beyond the simple indication of the captured measurement values. All recorded data can be displayed either numerically or in form of a chart and, by means of the logging function, can also be recorded as a series of measurements for long-term evaluation. Assigning measurement data to different projects (e.g. departments, rooms, buildings, etc.) with the app that handles a great number of clients is a child's play – including text and report templates for professional measurement data reports.
